I have been participating in Information seeking in context (ISIC) 2008 since yesterday morning. The different papers by the nicely small and compact community of researchers interested in information behaviour have been very insightful in their analysis of different aspects of information seeking and use.
To mention a few papers, Allen Foster's and Christine Urquhart's revisit to Foster's non-linear model of information seeking was rater insightful and highlighted the need to re-evaluate and validate existing research instruments. Lennart Björneborn presented interesting ideas o serendipity and information discovery in physical library settings. Pertti Vakkari's analysis of the papers from ISIC 1996 and 2008 conferences was also of interest together with a number of other papers I will definitely look at closer in the near future.
Vilnius is, by the way, a nice city to visit. I can recommend.
